Going BANG? We’ve put a list together of things you can do to ensure your letting or estate agency has that extra snap, crackle and pop, whilst also utilising our Openview property software to enhance your marketing.

1 Offer Online

As well as offering a traditional high street service, adapt your agency to online. Launch your own online affiliate brand using Openview Online which can run alongside your traditional agency. Advertise your online brand in your office window and in the window of your website. This will increase your visibility online, whilst give new clients a choice of using you or your online affiliate, giving them no reason not to approach you.

2 Get On TV

Whether it’s Homes Under The Hammer, Location, Location, Location or Grand Designs, look out for TV opportunities. 3 Move In Boxes

Consider giving your successful buyers and vendors a move in box filled with all sorts of gifts they can use when they move. Cleaning products, tea towels, tape measures, even a few groceries go a long way in giving your agency that personal touch.

4 Advertise

Think about where you advertise your property. Rightmove, Zoopla and On The Market are the main portals you should utilise whilst social media is becoming key. If you work in student lettings, think about placing your property on sites such as Student.com, Bubble Student, MyStudentHalls.com or even Spareroom.com.

5 Windows

The first thing you should consider is your use of high street windows. There are various things you can do to your windows to stand out on the high street, one example is the use of a touch screen. Allow your tenants and buyers to browse through properties on the market with a simple tap outside your agency. As well as this, ensure you theme your windows accordingly whether it be Easter, Halloween or Christmas.

5 Community Events

Whilst technology is key, getting out in the community is just as important. Think about using automation within Openview to spare free time, so you can attend local events such as charity football tournaments or your local football or rugby teams. As well as this, consider setting up your own networking days, run your own annual open day inviting your landlords and the general public to come along, increasing the awareness of your brand.

6 Be Human

Making your brand human allows your prospective tenants, buyers and vendors to see the real YOU. Each time you communicate across social media bear in mind your human side. Respond to a tweet just like any other tweeter would do, post GIF’s, be funny and engage in the conversation. As well as this, consider signing your social media with the name of the person posting, maybe even set up social profiles for each member of your staff.
